The lifting safety pallet gate type SG3 allows loads to be handled with a hoist, but also the handling of high loads. It works like inverted level crossing gates: in the open position, the guardrails are not located above the handling area, leaving the passageway completely free.
In the "open" position, the front guardrail is raised vertically, while the rear guardrail is horizontal and closes off the back of the platform. The area is secured. The pallet is deposited using a forklift truck or a hoist. Once the operation has been completed, the operator manipulates the rear guardrail to raise it, which causes the front guardrail to move in the opposite direction. The pallet can be removed from the area, with the front guardrail closed, eliminating the risk of falling from height. The pallet gate can be repositioned to the open position on the void side.
This safety lock gate can be adapted to its environment with the following configurations:
- Type SG3-2: hinged top guardrail to gain height space when the guardrail is raised and there is a risk of collision with obstacles: lower ceiling, piping, beam, etc.
- Type SG3T: guardrail passing through a wall when used in conjunction with a door: the front guardrail is located in front of the door, the rest of the safety gate is inside the building.
- Type SG3A: pallet sluice gate with 90° side exit: allows the pallet to be evacuated on one side of the safety gate.
- Type SG3-3: sliding pallet gate when the available height does not allow the guardrail to be raised.
The guardrail can be opened to the right or left, depending on the environmental or handling constraints.
This model is also available in stainless steel.
