Waterjet cutting

Presentation of the waterjet cutting process:

Waterjet cutting, an environmentally-friendly process, involves cutting materials using water, the pressure of which is increased by a pump. The water, either pure or with added abrasive, then passes through a small-diameter nozzle. This combined action enables different materials to be cut, with thicknesses of up to 200 mm, with unequalled precision and quality.

This is the only technology that enables hard materials such as metals, minerals, glass (except securit), wood, etc. to be cut with the same 'tool', as well as soft composite materials such as rubber, foam, plastics and others.

There are two water jet cutting processes: pure water cutting and abrasive cutting. Pure water cutting is reserved for soft materials.  Abrasive cutting is used for hard materials.

Advantages of waterjet cutting process:

Waterjet cutting offers very good cutting quality, even on thick materials. The clearance angle is reduced or even eliminated with the cutting correction system. The surface finish of the cut depends on the feed speed: for a "rough" quality part, the speed will be high - for a "finished" quality part, the speed will be slower.

During waterjet cutting, the material is not altered: as the cut is made cold, the material does not heat up - there is no modification of the structure and therefore no deformation of the material.

Water jet cutting can be used to cut fragile, thin, ground or treated parts. It can also be used to rework finished or painted parts. Waterjet cutting does not create slag - burrs are negligible depending on the quality of the cut - waste is made up of cut material and abrasive before filtration. Our filtration system recovers most of this.

For waterjet cutting, we work on the basis of your design files (DXF, STEP, etc.), photos (black and white), PDFs, images, etc.

We also offer metalwork and boiler-making services.
