E-Brochure
The transfer of liquids, liquefied gases or other materials is very often carried out using a top loading arm. This loading arm is fixed to a platform and provides the link beween the vehicle and the installation using a fixed flange connection or a manhole.
When the operator accesses the dome of the vehicule using a conventional folding stairway, he has to lift the loading arm so that it passes over the safety cage. This is a tedious movement and a safety risk that can be avoided by installing an AC2M-special loading arm stairway.
How does it work?
On reaching the work platform, the operator unlocks the folding bridge and placees the safety cage on the surface of the vehicle. This gives him access to the safety cage and thus also to the compartment for the loading arm. In this way, the operator can insert the loading arm into the dedicated compartment and then carry out his work on the vehicle dome, while being protected.
Once his work on the vehicle finished, he leaves the overhang and returns to the platform, removes the loading arm, raises the folding stairs and locks them.
