The AC2M-complete solution anti-early departure, comprising an access platform, a folding stairway and one or two lifting gates, is a CPE (collective protection equipment) device. Its purpose is to protect operators while working at height on a vehicle for maintenance, washing or sampling purposes.
A lifting gate limits access to the work area and informs the driver whether he can approach or not: when the gate is lifted, the vehicle can move forward and get into position.
As soon as the tanker is in position, the driver switches off the engine. By now, the operator (or the driver, if it's the same person) can access the platform, unlock the stairway and position it on the vehicle. By the same manoeuvre, the lifting gate in front of the truck closes.
Thanks to the retractable guardrail and the deformable staircase of the folding stairs, the operator can work in complete safety on the dome. This reduces the risk of falls, unevenness and accidents in a workplace.
Once the work on the dome finished, the operator puts the folding stair back in upper position and locks it. It's only now that the gate lifts and allows the lorry to leave.
